Chef Robo is Rob Hanechak, a fine dining Chef with over 20 years of professional kitchen experience. He has trained under David Bouley, Jeremy Marshall of Aquagrill, Nobuyuki Matsuhisa of Nobu and Starr Boggs. Rob is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Flushing, Queens, now living full time in Westhampton Beach, NY. He graduated second in his class at the New York Restaurant School. Rob has honed his skills while working at some of New York’s finest restaurants. He is an enthusiastic and passionate teacher. His resume is available as a pdf here. In March of 2013, Rob started a new venture as the Executive Chef at Plan B Tapas on Mulberry Street in NYC’s NoLita neighborhood, despite rave reviews of the unique menu, unfortunately Plan B is no longer. Rob continues to offer heat & serve drop off meals, private cooking lessons and catering of small events while working (in season) at ALure on Long Island’s North Fork.
